AdvoCafe : Blending for a Cause!

So, I've been living here in Baguio for more than 3 months now, and I made an oath to myself that I would eat at every restaurant and coffee shop along Session Road.

However, this coffee shop that I have stumbled upon is not located along Session Road.

It just so happened that it is located really close to the hostel where my sister and her friend checked in when they visited last August. I was about to have an annoying headache because I haven't had caffeine in my bloodstream yet, so, we agreed to chill out at this place.

"Advocafe is a non-profit and social enterprise in support to the Indigenous Peoples efforts for sustainable living."
Carrot cake and latte!

The prices of their cakes, pastries and coffee are unbelievably cheap! When I drink coffee, I'm after the caffeine, not the brand name printed on the cup. I'm also in a point in my life wherein I have to be as frugal as possible. I have been trying to cut down on a lot of things, but that doesn't mean I have to sacrifice my happiness. Another thing I consider is the crowd; the fewer, the better! I don't usually enjoy sitting in crowded places hearing other people's not-so-interesting stories. Most of the time, I just need a quiet place where I can think, relax or have a deep conversation with a few close friends.

I also like the fact that they are supporting indigenous people. Lately, I'm becoming interested in charity. I started doing that when I was still in Manila by running marathons organized by RUNtarantantan. Well, I haven't participated in any marathons here yet, but I realized there are other ways to help out.

AdvoCafe is located at T. Alonzo St., Baguio City, Benguet. It's really close to Ferrioni (1) Pension House and Dormitory. Most of the cab drivers are quite familiar with the hostels/hotels around town so if you mention Ferrioni (1), it might be easier for them to locate it. Another landmark is STI College. On their website, I noticed that they have a branch in Manila. I'm not sure if that is the main or not.

For people who hate the crowd and are in for something new, this could be a place for you!

    1. Hi Dominique! Baguio is a nice place to live in...apparently the only thing cold in here is the temperature! haha~ come and stay here for a few days or so and feel the laid back lifestyle! I always feel so sad every time I have to take a bus to Manila on my first few visits here. But since I moved here last July, I haven't taken a bus yet, so, yay!
